I finally managed to get my Ideal Fender telecaster for my band work and at home jamming and songwriting. I traded my Fender limited edition FSR SSS Strat for a Canadian built Custom Bill Blake telecaster with 2 1987 noiseless strat pickups and a Seymour Duncan Hot Rail in the bridge (Tom Morello Config Audioslave)

This is my ideal setup because I can use the bridge humbucker for heavier riffing and downtuned stuff and I can use my neck strat pup for loud doomy rock riffs and Tom Morello tones aswell as it has the strat quack inbetween positions for when I wanna blues out at home ..very fun guitar

whats your ideal Fender(or fender type) guitar?

simple and original, nothing wrong with that.. I have some standard teles too and love the single coil bridge pup but it is too thin live I find

Since I'm really a Gibson guy, the thought of having an ideal Fender never occurred to me. However, I really like the one I have.

I would have to say a '52 tele reissue with modern wiring.

    I love SRV's Strat.I guess that's it.I also really like a strat-tele mix with humbuckers and a f-hole, but I can't remember its name at the moment...

Swamp Ash body in transparent red, one piece maple neck and fret board, 6160 frets, gotoh vintage style tuners, red pearl pickguard, Wilkinson vintage style tremolo, concentric pits for individual volume and tone for each pick up, 3 on off switches for each pickup and a set of D. Allen CS Voodoo 69 single coils with parchment pickup covers :) Can't wait until after Christmas when I'll hopefully have all the parts, then I give it to a luthier to be put together. Mmmmm
