We all have one, or two, or...
I am not a fan of the in-between positions and all my strats are wired like the originals - with the three way switch. Of the three positions, I find the middle to be the most overall pleasing for my overall tone, with the bridge and neck being great for "color".
Watching...it looks too much like work to me these days.
For guitar, it would be neck...
I like them all, especially the middle but lately I have gravitated to the bridge with the tone control rolled back a bit.
I'm all over the map.
What about neck-bridge? For Teles.
I never use the bridge on a strat unless it is a humbucker. It's either a shrill sound to me or too jangly country twangy. Neck all the way. Basically neck, neck and middle, or middle. The last 2 (or first depending on how you look at it) are not used.
I use them all, but seldom the middle position on a Strat. It sounds good, it's just never as interesting, sorta like he neck pup on a tele. It's always been kinda "meh" to me.
Neck/middle, at least with the amp I
All depends on the guitar/rig/song/vibe.
Depends on the guitar. For most Fenders, I like the neck only, but will occasionally use the 4th (neck/middle) on a Strat. The exception is a Tele, where I usually only use bridge.
EDIT: LOL, I got some wires crossed in my brain and voted bridge instead of neck. I ruined the poll.
This Fender section is lame..................
My love/hate for the Strat continues as I proceed to build a HSS MIM.. I simply can not be ok with my only Strat being anything but HHH. Unfortunately I hate every setting but for Neck and Middle/Neck unless it has a humbucker in the bridge. New build, problem solved.
4 & 2, which I always thought were 2 & 4 until I was recently corrected.
Who counts from right to left ???
You play a map?
The bridge with a lot fiddling with the tone control
I like the middle position as well
I experiment more when I'm plugged into the amp though....
Neck and bridge
Neck and middle, position 4, is where I spend a lot of time on a Strat.
Either that or just the neck, I don't use the bridge pup very often at all on a Strat, unless it's a humbucker.
The winning side...
