Really have no family left or near me.. Just my kids and now a baby grandson..

I was an only child that left home for the road many years ago. Built a guest home for my Ps..but they are gone now..
No big Dago party anymore..just us..

If I were closer.... I'd invite my wife and I over to your place! LOL

I know there's gonna be some good eats at yer place!

No family here either and my wife's family is in Colombia. No kids.

    We're going to a restaurant.

And yes, we'd make the BEST Red Velvet Cake you ever had.

Almost ready here, the steaks will be delivered tomorrow (or rather today). I was already to order a turkey breast and the wife said, lets have steak instead this year. Sounds good to me, so I ordered up 2 2" 50 day dry aged NY strips from Pat Lafrieda's. Throw in some mashed taters with steamed buttered asparagus then some apple pie and vanilla bean ice cream for dessert and call it a done deal. Repeat again on Saturday. Oh yeah don't forget a little vino and maybe a caucasian. :dude:

Funniest post I've seen around here in a long time!

Being it's 3:55 a.m. and I can't sleep...again...may have something to do with it, too.

I feel like it is. My wife has no idea I bought it, so I plan on getting all emotional when it arrives and thanking her for the ultimate thoughtful gift.

    I don’t understand. Is this a necro-post?
Thanksgiving was over a month ago.

If not for the kids and grand kids, I would not have much to celebrate without my wife being there too. Now..in so many ways, it's just another day. Its those grand kids that make it anything else.

The only thing I'm thankful for is that in still around.

Atlanta crew came in yesterday. We had all three daughters and all five grandkids last night for #5's 1st birthday. Thursday we'll have daughters 2 & 3 and all 5 grandkids, hopefully sis and BIL. Today is pie baking day. I'm working a double. Double Friday and Saturday too. Tomorrow just enjoy the grandkids and too much pie. This one is probably a major milestone. #23 for the big family gig at our house. We're pretty set on selling and downsizing in 2018. This is more than likely the last waltz. A quarter century of tradition and memories (both good and bad) to reflect on as we contemplate winding down. I'm ready to move on, but tomorrow I'll struggle.

I got my Cuz, her son, and my neighbor coming over to be fed. I’m actually looking forward to this. I use to spend every thanksgiving with my cuz for almost 20 years. Haven’t done it in almost 30 years. Falling out between my parents and hers. She married and divorced one of my best friends. Then there was always life getting in the way.

    Honeybaked Ham

    Honeybaked Turkey Breast

    Honeybaked Stuffing

    Honeybaked Apples

    Honeybaked Green Bean Casserole

Yams (brown sugar, maraschino cherries, pineapple, marshmallow)

    Cranberry Sauce (mandarin orange, walnuts)

    Corn

    Pillsbury Biscuits

    Deserts by guests

    * I’m very proud of myself. I’ve had the ham and turkey in my fridge since Monday and I haven’t touched it.

I'm ready and looking forward to it. Grabbed a couple of growlers last night. The turkey will be dry brined overnight and on the smoker at precisely 7:30am. Then I'm off to play some football. After that I'll get cleaned up and get ready to host. Party starts at 1pm.

Yes, I'm working. I will spend a quiet day with mentally ill. I will not have to pretend I care about my sibling's cars+tars+bars on their gilded cages....I will work from 7 Am- 9 PM EST....I will go home and kiss the cat and wife. I'm thankful I'm still FEZZchamp. I'm thankful my parents are still alive. The rest of the world can eat dry turkey balls....................
