Welcome to Wulfman’s “for sale” thread. I’ll be posting mostly MIJ guitars here with most of them LP copies but a few other types as well.

I’ve sold quite a few guitars over the past year or so, mostly in the MIJ Classifieds thread in the Other Les Pauls - My Les Paul Forums section. Lots of good guitars are available there too from MLP members if you are in the hunt for an MIJ LP or other Japanese guitars so do have a look over there as well for something that may be closer to your neighborhood.

Shipping is usually done by EMS (express air courier service) or by sea shipping via Japan Post. It is fairly expensive to send a guitar and prices vary according to country and weight so inclusion of hard cases or a heavy guitar will cost more. However, shipping two guitars at the same time can be as mich as 30% cheaper overall. Packages are insured up to declared value…which reminds me, some countries collect import taxes/handling fees which may or may not be significant.

My Paypal is linked to my Canadian bank account so I generally charge by Paypal invoice in Canadian$.

If you have questions about Japanese guitars it is best to ask in the Other Les Pauls - My Les Paul Forums rather than here. Lots of knowledge to be had there and by using the search function.

Thanks for looking and PM if you are interested in anything.:)

2004 Epiphone Japan Lacquer Series LP

Epiphone Japan Lacquer Finish series LP. These were made in Japan for a brief period from 2004 to 2006 as far as I can tell. Compared to the Elite/Elitist series they have a different top carve and much thicker necks. They are becoming harder to find these days.

    Description:
    - 3.9 kg
    - Lacquer finish. It is quite thin.
    - Long tenon
    - a few light scratches and minor dents that are difficult to photograph
    - Almost no noticeable fretwear
    - Long tenon
    - 2-piece center matched back and top
    - Thick profile neck. 22 mm behind 1st fret and 25.5 mm behind the 12th fret measured from fretboard to back of neck.
    - Comes with original Fujigen-made PAF-style pickups.

A slideshow is here with lots of pictures.

    PRICE:
$930 CDN, EMS shipping to Canada/US/Australia included, by Paypal.
    - Shipped with original soft gig bag.
    - I can ship in a Gibson hard case for +$70 CDN.
    - Shipping is $40 more to Europe.
    - Shipping by sea can be up to $100 CDN cheaper but generally takes 4-8 weeks.

Please send me a PM if you are interested.

For sale: Made in Japan Bacchus LIVE ROAD BLS Les Paul style guitar.

PRICE: $850 Canadian shipped by EMS express to US/CANADA/AUSTRALIA, payment by Paypal. European shipping $40 more in general.

I believe BLS-95 may be the correct model based on the absence of a serial number however most BLS-95 examples I have seen have a center matched 2-piece back rather than the 1-piece More information on the Bacchus brand is available at this link from a fine Australian guitar seller: Japan Vintage Guitars - Bacchus Information

    - My guess is a mid-90's model but there is no S/N.
    - 1 piece back/1-piece neck. Likely African mahogany
    - Has a lacquer finish. Could be urethane lacquer or lacquer topcoat
    - Manufactured by Deviser in Japan.
    - 4.16 kg / 9.2 lbs
    - It has a thin profile 60’s-style neck.
    - 1-pc mahogany body,.
    - Medium tenon (see pictures)
    - Pickups measure in the 7.8k range. They are Alnico and sound very good to me.
    - Standard Japanese pots and green “chicklet” style capacitor.
    - A few noticeable nicks, dents and scratches on the body. Please see pictures for details
    - Frets look to be in good shape. 7/10 left.
    - Will be sent with a generic gig bag.
    - Fairly thin neck profile I would can 60's

For sale: 1981 Greco Super Real Strat
    [IMG]

PRICE: $600 Canadian shipped by EMS express to US/CANADA/AUSTRALIA, payment by Paypal. European shipping $40 more in general.

Important: I don't know what model this is as it is not in the catalog. The tuners are original but are not the Kluson type. The neck is like a 60's profile and the frets and fretboard are very nice. The body has lots of checking and wear so I don't know if this is from the original condition or of somebody relic'd it. There has been some alteration to the body as well. It could have been a Jeff Beck Super Real model that has been altered.

    - Manufactured by Fujigen in Japan.
    - 3.64 kg
    - It has a 60's profile strat neck.
    - See pictures for body condition, checking, wear, etc.
    - CTS pots
    - Frets and fretboard are in good shape, 9/10. Please see pictures.
    - The pickups and are changed to what I believe Seymour Duncans. The middle position is labelled as a Seymour Duncan Five-two.

For sale: 1978 Greco EG-1000 Custom LP
    [IMG]

PRICE: $550 Canadian shipped by EMS express to US/CANADA/AUSTRALIA, payment by Paypal. European shipping $40 more in general. $75 off in combination with another guitar.

This was one of the top models for Greco before the Super Real series.

    - Manufactured by Fujigen in Japan.
    - Ebony fretboard with MOP inlays and headstock inlays.
    - 4.6 kg / 10.1 lbs
    - It has a medium profile neck.
    - Medium tenon
    - Original gold Grover tuners
    - 2-layer pancake mahogany body with a maple cap. Neck is 3-pc maple. This is a pretty faithful copy of a 70's Norlin Gibson custom.
    - I believe this was refinished at some point to white. Finish is worn, chipped and faded in spots with a fair bit of sticker damage in the back. Made to be played as is or a good candidate for a refinish. See pictures for details.
    - Dimarzio PAF pickups
    - Frets are in good shape, 8/10. Please see pictures.
