1952 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop. It was the tragic victim of a domestic dispute between a husband & wife. The argument had gotten so out of hand that she took a hammer to his goldtop
It's not even the original mahogany that way hollowed, but I will admit, I put in my best bid.

In the 50's Gibson actually made these now and then for people that wanted them. They'd take a guitar they had & do what you see . ( As I understand it , hollowing out the body was not
done at the factory .)
its a les paul a lefty has customized for himself/herself and by the looks either adapted the tremolo system the early vibrato's gibson made or a custom piece. worth a bit of money as a one of type custom.
sorry to say but that repair job has stripped a decent amount of value off the guitar.
worst repair job ever!!! if it had come straight to me i would have repaired it like new.
