Worthwhile to re-fret a 60 Tribute Plus?

    I own an Epi 60's Tribute +. Well made guitar for sure. The Gibson '57's are fine sounding pickups. A refret job might cost you about $200. Only stainless steel frets would change the sound of your Epi. They last longer, but I think that a Les Paul type guitar should have regular jumbos put on it. Actually, as long as you get a really well done fret job, your Tribute Plus would become an even better guitar. You might consider a custom slotted bone nut along with the refret. After a complete set-up, you would have a much better guitar. Forget the name brand or where made. A great Les Paul and for many years to come and maintenence free: <except string changes>. Good luck. I hope you keep the Tribute.
