Hello. I found this picture on another forum. This destruction was done to a '59 Les Paul. If it were a normal Les Paul, it would be fine, unique, ect. BUT A '59 LES PAUL!:wow:  :noway: :wtf: this guitar would be worth hundreds of thousands otherwise. i wouldn't buy it for ten bucks

I'd buy it for ten bucks, then send it to BCRGreg for revival.

Heck, I didn't even want to drill holes in my Black Beauty to put on a Bigsby. WTF was this guy smoking. Reminds of the thread I read of the dude who wanted to lighten the load on his LP by drilling 1" holes in it. ha ha

Yeah, there is a history on that guitar. It has been bandied about before on this and other forums.
I've heard there has been more work done to it on the restoration front.

THANK YOU, I've been trying to remember that since the last time someone started a thread on this!

Did he bring it in to be restored?

I've seen this before--but when the mod was made--who knew how much they'd be worth?

I'd have bought it at its worst for $10--no problem--then fix it up!
