So, the WIZZs are in and they are staying in!!!

First off they look amazing, very well aged and not over the top.
Build quality is superb and they really show the hand work.

My guitar looks perfect in double whites.

    some photos....

    Tone report:

Having been really digging the sound of my 57 classic since i got the R8
i was amazed at how much improvement was to buy a set of WB pickups,
so i was very happy, until i decided to pull the trigger on WIZZ pickups.
I really didn't know that the winder is Alex AKA The Truth around here so
i contacted him and we started to to discuss the PUs, his a very honest guy
and a pleasure to deal with. So he started to work on them and two weeks
later they where ready and shipped ASAP.

Now what did i noticed different from what i already considered a great tone
from my R8 with WBs, well first thing was the hollow deep tone, bright and
really really articulated complex tone, next was the rich harmonic content and organic sensation
that i have only read about from people regarding some PUs as the holy grail of tone.
This WIZZ pickups are the holy grail for me right now.

I remember many saying that they had to spend some time dialing the tone from the
pickups,i didn't had to do a thing, just put them in the same hight as WBs where, and
the tone is perfect, no pole piece mess up or anything.

As with any great pickups they react extremely well to the volume and tone knobs.

So here it is the tone test, sorry for the long dialog but i felt it was necessary, great tones
coming out of my guitar and amp.

As expected this pickups deliver a true PAF tone, they are at a great price and i highly recommend them.

Alex, thank you for your great service.

    Nico.

Alex has sent me pictures of some of the components he has been sourcing for these. He spent a very long time getting everything right and the detail of the components he sent me were incredibly accurate.

I still owe him some covers in fact...

    Nico, Great review!!

Those Wizzes sound Pretty-Damn-good! Great playing and a nice mix of tones and settings. Much better than a demo where everything remains the same, but the pickup selector.

Yep! Those are Damn fine sounding pups! :thumb:

Think it's about time to give Alex a buzz.

Alex is very talented and very detail oriented. I'm sure anything he does he puts 110% into. I wish I could afford a set of these! What a great time to be into PAF tone! There's so much great stuff out there and everyone is trying to out do each other its great for us consumers.

    Great Playing NICO!

Are these the PAF Vintage Hot's or the PAF clones?
Very nice combo of gear and playing

 Thanks a lot for going out of your way to post that man! I really hear the clarity in them as well as a nice range of tones! You definitely got a Pearly Gates tone going now and that is pretty much as good as you can get with an LP. And then with more gain you get that Page sound going.
    Very Very nice!

I appreciate you doing the clip. Bravo! :applause::applause::applause:

I'm very impressed with Alex's pickups. :dude:
