It's a 2000 AVT20...I posted it in the 'Whos Who" Solid State thread. In fact you liked it and quoted it in that thread.

The AVTs don't get a lot of love here but I love this little Marshall. It's got that classic Marshall "crunch" on the gain channel and the cleans are smooth, bright and warm. I really like Marshall cleans, I prefer them to Fender cleans. And I've owned quite a few Fender, from the smallest... a 1966 Champ I bought in 1969 when I was 13 years old, to the biggest... a 1972 Super Six Reverb! That beast was a huge 100 watt combo with 6-10" speakers!! :eek2: I use to gig with that behemoth, it barely fit on the back seat of my 1969 Chevy Nova... touching both back doors!! LOL!!
It was a pain in the a$$ lugging that thing around.

    But I digress, sorry.

I've had my AVT20 for about 15 years now. I changed out the 12AX7 with a 5751 and replaced the stock speaker with a Celestion G10 Vintage. This little Marshall sounds great!

Why did you get rid of yours?

I remembered liking one in the SS section, and I should have checked if it was yours :) (I kinda thought it was, but in all honesty, I was too lazy to double check).

The only reason I got rid of mine was in a trade of gear at guitar center for a Les Paul Standard (chambered). I remember the first time I plugged in to the AVT20, I knew it was coming home with me (and it did). I know "they" always say "a specially voiced speaker for this amp" but in the case of the AVT20.

I liked it so much that I had a second that I used to keep in my classroom because I sponsored a Guitar Club and sometimes used to play guitar with some of the students.

It really is a shame that those AVTs are not very highly regarded.

I see you're into the "analog modeling method"! When you want different tone you buy another amp!

Sorry, other than the JCM 900, I don't recognize the specific models you posted those wonderful pics of, so I gave the Boogie and the other Marshall generic names which I can easily fix if you or someone else can specify the models. AWESOME firepower, my Friend :)

I will forward the ADA MP1 to the solid state thread (which is where I listed my Orange Micro Terror which also has a tube preamp) :)

    Fun, I'm in.
Just wanted to say that looking through this thread, you guys all have some magnificent amplification devices :D

    I have:
    Fender Greta
    Fender Blues Deluxe RI
Marshall JVM1C (used as a head through a 212 cab)
    Marshall SL5
Vintage '58 Supro combo of some description. I found some info on it when I picked it up a few years ago, but I'm not sure I ever correctly identified it.
