Wish I was going--but I don't qualify to go--and nobody else would be paying.

So I'll follow some stuff online--like the NAMM oddities site.

I will also be there walking it.

I was always going on various boards begging for passes. I always got some, but it always got harder and harder to do it.

I finally just decided to get my old company to join NAMM. I pay the membership fee and don't have to worry about ever missing out. Once the company got rid of me in a layoff, I changed all the contact info to my home address so I can still go.

This is my one excuse to be able to go out to LA every year to take my ohh so important eating tour of the area as well.

Depends on if I can get the flights that I want. Otherwise no.

I wouldn't recommend it. It's hot, smelly and the locals are always trying to kill you in very creative ways.

In NY, they spit on your windshield and wipe it off for $1.

In LA, they spit on your windshield and just leave it.

I wanna go and live nearby but alas I am in the bicycle industry so it is difficult to get a pass... Anybody who can get a pass for my wife and I also ride bikes and want to go to interbike? I can make that one happen if you want a badge swap ;)

King's X playing at the Ampeg Booth on Saturday. I'd definitely advise catching that one.

I'm also going to go see Toad the Wet Sprocket at Key Club on Friday night. Adler's Appetite at Whiskey on Saturday night.

If you go to the Rainbow, try the pizza.

I was just asked if i was interested in buying a pass (w/ my name on it) for the NAMM show. Problem is, the guy wants to know what I'm willing to pay!! I have absolutely no idea what a pass is worth. If anybody has any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it. I've never been before and have wanted to go for years and years. So I'd more than likely pay a little more than those of you have gone before. Thanks in advance.

BTW.... This is my first post!!!! Woooo Hoooo I finally had a question I didnt think I could easily find the answer to by using the search function! lol

For what it's worth, this close to NAMM...it's costing him 25 bucks to give it to you.

So....a "fair" suggested price would be 50. before my company joined NAMM I don't think anyone ever charged me for a pass unless it was right before the show. Even then they only charged me the 25 bucks it cost them.

Thanks! I can swing $50 bucks. Can't tell you how relieved I am. I was kinda nervous to hear $300 was fair! Gonna give him a call right now. We'll see what his Idea of "fair" is. Thanks again Throwing7.

I'll be one of the few Not trying to look like a rockstar.

That show is filled with way too many people trying way too hard to look cool.
