    NJ,

For what it is worth, I have a $200 garage sale partscaster that is surprisingly nice. It has Tex Mex pups in neck and middle and a SD hot rails in the neck which I seldom use. The SD is a small bucker, but I always play in the neck or middle pup, or both and they are single coils, and no buzz regardless of gain level. Just a suggestion.

just lately I've been digging my Telecaster Custom, which is my cheapest guitar. I wouldn't say I'm done with my Gibson collecting by a longshot, though. I still need a '76 Goldtop, hard to find unrouted and at a reasonable price. Relatively soon, I'm going to be getting a Classic Series '70 Strat, if I can find that cheaper than my Tele, that might become by fave, who knows.

love my cheapies... in fact, I loved my cheapies more than my gibson... by FAR

but then I bought a PRS CE, and it changed my mind about guitars that cost more than $1000... guitars like this one ARE worth EVERY penny.

are the $3000 worth even more than the CEs? no idea. but I'd be willing to try now...

My most played guitars probably go:

09 SG Faded (never planned on getting an SG, happened upon this thing and it was incredible)
    05 Ibanez GRG170DX (first electric)
    08 LP Studio

Trad is too new to be considered.
