My own. I dont copy others.
I dig most of the players listed here. I'll post someone a bit different, WINO. I've always loved his killer tone.
When I'm asked what is a Les Paul supposed to sound like, I answer listen to the Beano disc (Double Crossing Time, Hideaway, All your Love) or the MT sound from the Stones STP/72 tour (thinking Love in Vain from L&G, through those overheated Ampeg 300 heads).
I have to agree with you there. I asked him on fb what pickups he was using..answered Duncan 59s. I saw him live twice this year..Hes playing through Engl rigs. The tone is balls out..
I'm adding another with Duane playing his Darkburst (Hot Lanta). Love Betts too.
Wait for it... (or skip to 2:00)
Yes, but no one knows who you are, so we can’t be humbled by the originality of your tone and you didn’t read the OP
I've been digging Robert Fripp's tone on his solo looping albums from the 70s. Dark, reedy, and certainly his own.
Ace Frehleys tone on Kiss Alive.
I find my Les Paul tuned to Eb into my 1w JMP with a Beano boost comes pretty close
Check out the sleeves on the bass player. 70s...
I know it's overstated and obvious, but Gary Moore!!
I'm guesing the majority of the folks here are over 50. Not much mention of any current artists. Again I'm just guessing No offence to anyone.
I'm 35, good music is good music
No doubt some great guitarists on this list.
Gary Moore - ALWAYS !!!!!
In that case you won't mind if this elderly person corrects your spelling and grammar because that's what we do:
'I'm guessing that the majority of folks here are over 50 because there's little mention of any current artists. Again I'm just guessing so no offence to anyone intended.'
(I'm only joking ... just fooling around so back at you with the please don't take offence.)
Anything from FREE that Kossoff actually PLAYED on. Not everything on Heartbreaker is him.
I'd start with the album 'Fire and Water' if you want an intro to why Mr K is so well regarded. The track 'Mr Big' says it all.
(but I suspect that you know all this.)
lol none taken, well done.
I didn't mean to offend anyone but the reality is most of the guitarists on this list are a total mystery to most people under 40. At least that has been my experience.
