My piece is a second play through on the track having just jammed through it once to get the feel of it. I haven't listened to White Room for several months and have no idea what the track sounds like, this is not a cover just a jam through exercise.( I will post this before I listen to it or it probably wouldn't get uploaded.)

Recorded into MOTU Traveller into Logic Pro 9

    Plugins used are

Waves, ssl mixing strip , Lilly white electric guitars setting.

When you are plugging away through the track, instead of just hitting whatever notes you wish, try and hum a melody in your head, and then make that melody come out of the guitar...

That way your music will sound tasty and inspiried, instead of a dragging on collection of notes and pitches!

    ummm......wow?

    Roger, that was something else.

    You are either:
    1. a very brave man
    2. delusional
    3. or incredibly avant garde and sophisticated

    Definitely different.

I lack your love for tinkering with effects/software and end up with a much simpler sound.

Results be damned! It's still kind of refreshing to see someone just go for it and not regurgitate or ape what we've come to expect. :)

It is what it is and I don't pretend it is anything else. Like it, dislike it listen or switch off.
I have from it what I wanted to take away from it, Next week I'll be working on something completely different. Nat King Coles Straighten out and fly right.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and for all the Advice which I have duly noted.

    Love that song!!

For some nerdy reason, I ended up quoting that song last month. The older guy I was hanging with nearly pissed himself.

I should make time and learn it, too! :)

As neither Brave or Sophisticated I must be deluded.
I am happy in my own little orbit in my own little world, life's somewhat less complicated that way.
With limited understanding of my own small world I really think that the one in which the guitar gods walk must be impossible to understand.

I must say that I am glad I don't participate in the posting pictures of guitar threads theres some serious talent at that in these parts.

I played it backwards and The Devil ran screaming from the room and gave my soul back...

unfortunately it also made my cat shit on the bed.

This might help with some pineal gland stimulation. Did the Devil tune your guitar for you at the Crossroads by any chance. I hear that for some people the old boy just attaches their guitar to a MIDI file and the same old hackneyed cliches seem to clinch the deal. Funny that kind of mirrors how things are in the modern world.
