If Gibson releases these Juniors, would you buy one?

  1. Yes, I'd do if it's reasonably priced (under 1K)

  2. Yes, I'd do no matter the price. I've been longing for a decent USA Junior for way too long.

Apparently, Gibson is making Junior prototypes for Billie Joe Armstrong. I'd like any of these not because of BJA, but because they are a different take on the Junior.

    From Armstrong's Instagram:

I have no idea if Gibson is planning on releasing a new sig but I'd buy one... or three if they did :D.

    Opinions?

I'm fine with the pickguard. Reminds me vaguely of my Melody Maker. The finish looks super thin/checked, could have been done by Gibson though.

The humbucker though? Not a fan.

    I dunno.

Need to think more on it.

I definitely prefer DC and SG Jr.s to the single cut Jr.

Not really a fan of the odd-ball pickguard, either.

I'll reserve the right to change my mind in the future, as usual...

    No thanks.

I should probably buy a P-90 equipped Les Paul, but I have absolutely no interest in a Junior, unless maybe if they were priced at what they are worth. But, they have been way overpriced (when you can get them) for the last 20 years or so.

I just bought a Junior. I love this whole category of guitars: Juniors, Specials, Studios, Mexican Teles . . . big tone for small $$$.

These are nice, I like them, there's just nothing about them that sends them up to the top of the GAS list.

Holy sh*t, I hope Gibson doesn't find this poll . The first feedbacks are not really enthusiastic .

    Thanks for your inputs guys.

The small $$$ part is what I am afraid of. If these come out, they'll probably be over 1K€/$. I bought my BJA junior as new old stock for 900€ in 2015, three years after the production stopped. Used they are around 1K€/$ too. It's a little steep.

What would be a fair price for a brand new Junior in your opinion (just curious)? I'm thinking 600€/$ for a regular (no sig model, or special edition) brand new one with a gloss finish. The regulars don't have the angled bridge and offset neckjoint though.
