Where were Tokais Originally Sold

    J-Dizzle, thank you for the incredibly useful info on these old MIJ guitars, very appreciative of this post.
    Would you say the best years for these Tokai LP copies would be '77-'85 ? Who would you say among the back-in-the-day manufacturers [ Tokai, Edwards, Greco, Orville ]made the best 335 copy, and when ?

    the sought after period is 78-82 for tokai and 80-82 for greco.

    I have this book and while containing some interesting info it left me a bit flat, not enough for me to justify money paid.

    Tokai strarted electric Hummingbird guitars around 1967 (I am talking from memory), a sort of Mosrite copy.

    What bertrand4070 said with regard to Tokai and Greco, although its not a hard and fast rule. There were many magnificent guitars built outside those years. 335s I honestly don't know, I don't own any.
