I have a late '61 Les Paul SG Standard, with side pull tremolo. I know (of course) that the '61 Les Paul SG Standard and Custom came with these. My question is, when were they discontinued?

I have heard rumor that 1960 Gibsons came with them, but have never seen one. The side pulls were only around 1961 through 1962. 1963 the mastro(lyre) came into play.

61 and 62, though I had a 63 Standard that had one years ago.

according to A.R. Duchossoir there were a few SG/LPs(w/ the side-pull trem) made in 1960. there's one pictured on his book "Gibson Electrics: Classic Years". it says it even has an ink-stamped SN.
