My oldest acoustic is a 1969 Martin D12-35.
Mines a 76 Ibanez j200 copy 12 string. Rings like a bell plays like hell. Great guitar though.
Here's my '49 Martin A Style Mandolin:
Nothing as nice as some of you. My oldest is this early 80s Dobro round neck:
1969 Yamaha red label Nippon FG-300. Sounds a-ma-zing
My very first guitar was a Gibson 1961 LG-0. It became the trade in for my first electric, which became the 2nd trade in, well, you get the idea. Sure wish I had that guitar now!
my oldest acoustic is a Framus that I bought in 1972 at the PX in Germany. I paid about $30 for it. it played great for many years. however, it now needs a few minor repairs.
my other acoustic is a 1974 Alverez that I bought just after I got out of the Army in '74. I had never heard of Alverez, but the guitar sounded better than the Gibson and Martin that I was comparing it with. I paid ~ $350 for the guitar and hard case.
note : although I first learned to play on a electric guitar, I played acoustic guitar for many years.
My oldest is my Dad's 1935 DOBRO Model 37. It's a great squareneck.
I bought my D-15 new 23 years ago when they cost $600. It's on the right. I bought the OM16GT (next to the D-15) new 21 hew years ago when they cost $760.
