Need to see some old acoustics. The oldest in my collection is a 79' Guild. But I'm really gassing for something in the 50's or 60's. Lets see yours.

No pictures handy, but I have a 1967 Gibson LG-0 that sounds way better than it has any right to.

Well my oldest acoustic is also my only acoustic!

A 1974 Guild D35...I bought it new in early spring of 1975. I was 19 years old and had quit my band and sold all my equipment....I wanted something to play. When I was in the music store I tried a number of acoustics, some Martins, Gibsons, and this Guild. After playing each of the others I kept coming back to the Guild for another try! The Guild played better and sounded better...louder, and fuller.

So I bought it!....and I've still got it!!

    1934 Martin 0-17. I'll add a pic later. :)

EDIT: I haven't taken any pics since getting it back from a neck reset, refret, reglued bracing, new nut, and new bridge/saddle. I'll remedy that in the next few days. :)

It plays and sounds amazing now!

That's either the quietest acoustic ever, or the loudest! :jam:

I have a 1908 Gibson mandolin. It needs some work but it pretty cool nonetheless.

I have a couple of 60's/70's nylon string acoustics; one is a Gibson, one is a no name.

I'll try to post photos later.

Here's the mandolin. It is going to require some BCR Greg level of help. It was my grandfather's.

The nylon string Gibson. No idea what year, but pre 1980 I would guess? I got it with the top glued back on. It plays great.
