    I would still vote to keep the f/b unbound- that is the one remaining original feature of this guitar which makes it a rarity. (And a conversation starter with the guitar geeks who would actually notice it).

    Bind the fretboard and burst it, you can always GT it later if you feel that way. Restoring it after it's been routed and mortised for a stoptail is not where I'd go. GT or burst doesn't make any difference to me, as I love both but leave the humbuckers!

    Already chopped up for 'buckers and TOM/TP: no point trying to revert it to P-90s and trapeze. Only issue is goldtop or some version of burst, and that top is too pretty to cover up with gold paint.
