Hey guys and girls...or girls and guys if I'm being polite with the ladies :)

I was thinking about a cool thread : what will your next guitar be ? i mean not the one you're dreaming about and you'll maybe never own, but the one that are currently saving for, or scouting ads for it....or just waiting for a good deal on it !

The one that you are 95% sure you'll own before any other guitar ! It could be an Epiphone or something else, we are not racists here ;)

Myself, it'll be a double cut with p90. But it could also be a light LesPaul with p90 like the melody maker or the 1957 Epiphone Les Paul junior reissue (I would replace the pup). Sorry to not have something more precise in head, the nextone will be light and with p90.

And you girls ? Guys ? What will your next guitar be ?

I think my next instrument is likely to be a bass as I haven't currently got one and a need has (possibly) arisen. Tempted by a Dano Longhorn.

Maybe Epi Les Paul 56 GT model with P90s. Clive got one incoming but the timing isn't right for me. Custom in antique ebony is on the list too.
This place is doing nothing to subdue my GAS!

Good choice, though I would not sell a fender to fund it :) I'd keep it and save for the tribute plus. Nice portfolio btw

I'd like a Trini Lopez or Starcaster type but left handed but haven't got Gibson/Fender money to spend and not sure one even exists (Hollow Body/Strat type headstock) so my next guitar may never land....

I did pick up one of these recently to partly satisfy my 'desire' but been claimed by my daughter when she has the money to pay the 'Next Guitar Fund' back, as it was too good a deal to say no to.

Not really needing another guitar as I promised myself ... 1 guitar, lots of practice :)

BUT if I must, it would be a les paul with tung oil finish. Either 2nd hand and sanded, or DIY. I just LOVE the smell and feel of Tung Oil. I finished my speakers with it and it looks/feel magical!

    Something like this:

I wouldn't mind one of these as I'm looking for something with a Floyd on board.

I'd like to find someone to trade their Godin Core P90 in blue for my LP Special

This thread is a good thing to discover nice alternatives too ;)
I like the tung oil guitar, even if I don't know the smell !

The Telecaster with p90 seems great Peter ;) And it's black :)

Being a total newb, I found many debates about finishes. Nitro vs poly etc. Well Tung oil is even better, it does not cover the wood at all. Just that, oil. So it should be the best situation for good resonance? :)

If I came across a really good deal on a fixer upper SG 400 Pro, I'd jump on it.

or something with P90s as well.

But actually I really want a Blues Jr amp. I was about to buy a BJII from a guy for $325 when the wife put the clamps down. "I can't believe you were going to spend that much money just for a sound!"
So... same thing could happen if I come across a deal on a guitar as well... :420:

I think I'll probably make a telecaster style guitar in 2015. A lot less money for a lot more guitar that way

After the success of my Les Paul style guitar type build last year, which turned out to be a really great guitar that still blows my mind that I made it each time I play it, I probably won't buy any more guitars from the big names unless there is something amazingly unique about it (ie more unique than a one of a kind completely hand made guitar LOL)

A WildKat is on my GAS list. There is a Wine Red one on eBay right now that's just killing me!!! I have never seen that color of Kat before and RED is my favorite color.
