It is a work in progress, no doubt. Great one day, sh!t the next.

I didn't reply yesterday, because it was a bad day. :noway:

Today I moved the QSC about 6 feet away, et viola, magic. :dunno:

I have been sitting right next to the QSC for low volume purposes. Up close all I can hear is pvc cones and ports. 6 feet away, that sort of dissipates into the atmosphere.

So, now the question is, how to record the sound in the room? Six feet away? Next to the speaker grill? :hmm: :dunno:

This was one of my big complaints in my research gathering phase; everyone records these direct.

    1. The direct recordings can leave some to be desired
    2. I wanted to know what it was going to sound like in the room.

I had a great jam with the JTM 45 today.

My I phone kemper videos were only a foot and a half away from the QSC( off axis as well, facing the kemper which is silent :laugh2: ). I would think it would depend a lot on what you're using to pick up the sound.

Zoom H1. I have been putting it right up to the grill of the QSC just because that is convenient.

I think I need a tripod for my Galaxy S7 and to start making vids. Seems easier and probably more rewarding for the viewer/listener. The H1 is a great recorder, though.

    - JBL Control 10 Matched Left/Right Pair of Main Studio Monitors
    - Snell Type CV Towers
