Exactly right. I bet that repair will last forever too. Something we forget sometimes is this is a piece of wood. I've seen breaks 10x worse than yours at much worse angles that were repaired once and lasted a decade plus aka to this day.

Not sure, since there's no "before picture" but the repair looks ok, except they could have fixed the finish. With a little TLC for the headstock finish, you might not ever know it was repaired.

I'd sell it at a discount then buy a new one, personally. It would just always eat at me. Not to discourage you, but I can relate with how you feel.

Relive the moment over and over like a Darrell vid clip until the shock is over. Then deal with the aftershocks!

Sell it me on the cheap! I love me a repaired headstock deal on a player. I've got two currently that are my road warriors.

Seriously, I hope you find enjoyment in playing the heck out of it and forgetting the knock. If you do decide to sell though... ; ) Take care.

I wouldnt care about a break like that. if the headstock actually broke off I would sell it. fix it first if it meant I was going to make more money unless it was either my epi custom or my #1. the epi custom was my first "nice" guitar and it isnt worth much so might as well keep it. my #1 is already a p.o.s. so a headstock break wouldnt be the end of the world.

might even go chinese and put some gold in the repair joint.
