I played D'Addario XLs for many years and then went to DR Tite Fits. I felt that the DRs had the perfect amount of resistance / tension and they seemed to last a long time.

A few months ago I was in a pinch and picked up a three pack of Slinkys. I hadn't used Slinkys since high school. I was very pleasantly surprised. I may end up ordering a case as they are easily available and always on sale.

Oh - I play .10s on my Fenders and .11s on my Gibsons.

When I got back in the playing again couple of years ago, I got one of the mega packs of EB Super slinkys 9-42 because I could not find any GHS Boomers locally. I have about gone through all of them, being a hobbyist, I don't change them out nearly as much as I should. I have to go online for my preference of the GHS GBCLs 9-46.

Been using Gibson reissue 9's for a while now on anything tuned to standard. I find they last and dont change in sound too much as they age. I also like the look of the silk wrapped ends on my bigsby equipped guitars. Now my explorer has eb not so slinky's, its set up likey buddies 7 string in adadgb and i threw away the high e. I never used the high e anyways when playing drop tuned lol.
