    Fail... Steven has been a guitar collector buddy of mine for awhile. He is a geek like us... He has never asked for guitar pointers... I don't assume nor think highly of myself enough to offer off hand. I treat people the way they treat me. Steven has always been kind to me.. I respect him and his family in return.

    Enjoyed watching video but what's the difference between a geek and a nerd when it comes to guitars?

    English is not my first language but I have always thought the geek and nerd are basically the same thing, with the geek being more like the "gear/tech obsessed guy" and the nerd more like the introvert guy who is focused on one thing.

    Fun video for sure. I especially dig Joe's commentary regarding taking necks off Fenders to check the date. I hate that stuff almost as much as I hate all those shots of cool guitars with their guts pulled out for some jerk to "authenticate" something. Question: How does your maid go about cleaning such a cluttered house, Joe?:hmm:

    I wish I could have kept them all.....I would have a monster collection by now, but i'm not independently wealthy. makes me want to cry when I think of the guitars I have sold:(

    Oh, a huge difference! A geek may never have seen your gear but he'll know more about it than you ever will. They are technophobes and their knowledge is all encompassing. They speak in monotone. Relationships and sexual encounters are rare.

    A nerd is more primitive and isolationalist. Most still live with their mothers. They have favourite cardigans and buy slacks from the small ads. They turn up at guitar shows overdressed or underdressed. They are voracious collectors of freebies. They will touch a 50's Gibson that is clearly marked "Please do not touch!" and saunter away sniffing the offending fingers, the other hand in pocket and working furiously. They bring their own lunch. Probably own a PRS.

    Yep, i've a few regrets myself...the Mrs. even says "stop selling, just buy".
    I'd marry her all over again!

    That is pure amazballs. And JB you might not think highly enough of yourself to offer pointers but we do. I wish i could play with a fration of the style and efficiency you play.

    Up to now based soley what I'd read. I figured Joe B. for a dick.
    After seeing this I can see that he's a nice humble, normal down to earth dude.
    why so much hatten on Joe?
    Is it just jealousy?
