There is Trinitite jewelry listed on ebay
Nah, the aliens visited Roswell, a bit further east. I wonder what was up with what you saw? Regardless, BEAUTIFUL country, aye?
Speaking of telescopes, Dr. Tambaugh (discoverer of Pluto) lived out in Las Cruces, although Pluto was recently demoted from planetary status
If there's one there could probably be more of them! Watch out!
No doubt. Thanks.
The old conventional wisdom is that there ARE ALWAYS 2 .
A scorpion? Big deal. Didn't you see that movie Jackass where Johnny Knoxville puts a scorpion on his nutsack?
Scorpions are evil.
No. I missed that (phew), but i did have a student who burned his arm copying the show
If you're asking me, then the answer is on the far SE coast of Australia. (Bottom RHS) I live in the country and have bush here that I'm frequently working in.
The ones we have here can sting and hurt for a while but unless you were one of those poor souls that suffer from anaphylaxis, they won't do you any serious harm apparently.
I don't know about that but we get up earlier than most of you....grin~
I read the ones with real skinny claws like that are the ones to look out for.
The big black ones with fat claws like they sell at the pet stores I guess are pretty harmless.
..either way, no thank you. Kill 'em all. Scorpions make me act like a human and want to kill all of nature.
Don't forget wolf-spiders. I've got some bigguns around my garage. Last one I saw was almost as big as my thumb. We also have some of the biggest slugs I've ever seen, and I grew up in a relatively rural area (Woodhaven/Trenton). Found this "little" fella on the back of my garage, actually not too far from the spider:
And, that's not even the biggest one I've found. Last one was almost a foot long.
How long have you had this deep seated neurosis Mal?
not a fan of things that sting.
wasps, hornets, scorpions, jellyfish,...fck 'em all.
Honeybees are alright. I never got attacked by any of them.
and they make honey.
unlike wasps and hornets who are just a**holes.
That hum you hear is not your wiring!
Oh I know all that for sure
But seriously as we drove the westbound highway south of White sands there were dozens of RVs and cars all lined up people had telescopes (BIG ones) and binoculars and cameras out so I just figured they thought aliens might visit the site or some such..................
Could've had a lot of fun and potentially made some $$$$$$ if you had kept him alive:
Been stung by a jellyfish in the Chesapeake Bay. One of the worst experiences of my life.
