Want to buy Epiphone Ace Frehley BlueBurst.
Does this exist? I've only seen the sunburst and the blackburst
Yes, it exists. I have a pic of one. Seems like there is another color as well, maybe solid black?
I've seen the blackburst on ebay. Post some pix of the blueburst if you find it. I've been hankering to try out the Ace F. LP at some point.
Send me your email address and I will send you a photo. I have owned many Gibson versions of the guitar. Like other new LP Customs, it has a baseball bat neck.
they made black ones at once, they are out on ebay here and there. the blue ones are from "china" MUSOLAND, I think is the company, someone had a link a few months back.
oh yeah should i mention they are fake, LOL
The Epiphone blue ones are not fake. A friend of mine has one. Definitely real, definitely RARE. And they were made where all the other Epi's were made.
here is the link
i will say they look ok, but thats all i'll say.
I thought the only color available on either the Gibson's or Epi's was the cherry sunburst? Any other info on this would be appreciated.
There is a black one on Ebay right now. I have also seen the blue ones and I'd like to get my hands on one, whether it's real or not.
PaylessGuitars.com has a few Frehley models including the blue. Beware that this is a Chinese dealer. Supposedly they also sell "real" Epiphone's too.
I think there is another Chinese site....mymusia.com I think.
That Payless site has a fake solid blue Ace guitar. And they have an alleged Epi cherry sunburst Ace guitar. But they do not have the blue burst that I am talking about. The one I am referring to is blue on the outer edges and bursts into a silver sparkle like the Gibson that Ace was seen playing in concert within the last couple of years. There was a rumor that Gibson was going to make another Ace guitar that looks like it. I have seen a similar LP Standard, but not the Custom that he played, along with all the Ace appointments like the lightning bolt inlays, Ace face on the head, etc. The blue burst Epi looks just like the Gibson he played. And I believe they were made specifically for Japan by Gibson here in the USA. Why do they always send the good wood and cool guitars to Japan?
Anyone ever play one of these? I read from the eHarmony reviews that its a distortion monster. I think its a very cool looking axe.
i think your buddy got hornswaggled, unless someone stripped it and repainted.
Epiphone - Ace Frehley LP Classic
EPIPHONE Ace Frehley model ELECTRIC GUITAR
Ace Frehley Signature Les Paul
Nope. I have seen a couple of others. You are an Ace guy; I am surprised that you are not aware of it.
Give me your email address and I will send you a pic.
I was just looking on Harmony Central under Epiphone reviews and found the following:
Epiphone Ace Frehley Signature
Epiphone Ace Frehley Signature Series Custom
Epiphone Ace Frehly Signature Les Paul Classic
After reading thru these, I found references to only the sunburst cherry and black flame versions. Blue must be truly rare.....
i didn't know there was a blue one.. cool
i honestly never seen them. firstname.lastname@example.org
Check out the Ace Frehley homestead web site. The guy who runs it has been in several KISS tribute bands, and knows an enormous amount about Ace. He give the market value of Ace guitars (the values have not been updated in a while & are out of date). But you can see that he lists the silver-blue burst as the most expensive Epi Ace guitar here:
Ace Frehley Signature Les Paul Guitar Current Market Values
Ok, now I definitely want to see a picture of this silver/blue ace....
