Pretty much sums up his ad.

    See Ebay Item number: 190519053372

Search "Waldstein" in the forums for a long read on the legend that is Waldstein.

I'll give you a hint - someone should report him for trying to sell it as a Gibson on E-Bay:laugh2::laugh2:

Well, I couldn't find a whole lot in the search, but I'm guessing since people refer to fakes as Waldstein, this is the mother of all fakes? Any famous owner?

Here's a search of all the posts by the owner. Look for any posts related to this guitar. Lots to read...

Are we sure that Les Paw and Godzilla are not the same person? They both excel at creative writing and rants against this forum. Throw in some racism and Les is a dead ringer for him. Just a thought...

I am gutted that Les Paw thinks there was fake bidding the last time this guitar went to auction. I will quite happily part with £500 (or $800, whichever is greater) PLUS shipping, to have Waldstein at the next UK MLP meet. The bid wasn't fake last time, I always honour my bids, and then the auction got pulled before it got near my maximum bid. If anyone wants to chip in, I'll go higher and reimburse if Waldstein does turn out to be the best sounding Les Paul of all time.

I don't think Gibson had much to do with the manufacture of Waldstein, but it's turning into an interesting story. I might even go to £600.

Dammit! Les Paw needs to be un-banned so he can come back and post some more of his epic rants in this thread. There's no chance of another epic Waldstein without him.

Was he banned? I wasn't sure if it came out that way...

I'd buy that guitar too for say, $1,500 and he can strip all the parts even. I'd double that if the private luthier who hand built it didn't flip the back cover template. Then I would tell all my friends that I had a somewhat famous replica and who built it, who refinished it, and who previously owned it and that it had been on some famous recordings.

    Dead serious.

But I would never say it was made by Gibson.

I did, and also for that authentication from Gibson. Let's see what he does...
