Exactly my position.
I hear ya'...I did get an original case for my '69 and that was a few bucks.

MLP pickups for charity contest !!! Enter today !!! ...
I say this in a good way,
That guitar is Fucked! It looks like your threw it down the stairs 2 times, left it in the sun....and then threw it down the stairs again. Is that arteficial aging? Even if it is, that is just one fucking awesome guitar.
I want details on this guitar. It looks like a Vintage 50's.
Dont Reissues come with Bumblebees and CTS Pots stock?
Just added a set of "Over the Pond " rings !!!
Hey bobbo they look amazing. Can you tell us the price of a set? Do you know if these are prone to break like the retrovibes?
Not sure if they will be available for sale to the general public yet ...
Does that 80's JCM 800 sound nice or is a current JCM 800 Better??
That amp is a killer !!! Haven't played one of the new fangled 800 reissues yet so I don't know how they compare !!!
2008 Iced Tea VOS R8, my first LP
- Schaller straplocks (the first thing done)
- bone nut
- Faber locking ABR bridge
- Faber locking kit for tailpiece
- KTS titanium saddles
- Gotoh locking, height adjustable tuners (SD510)
- RS Guitarworks 50's wiring kit with Luxe Bumblebee caps
- WCR Godwood/Darkburst pickup combo
- Mapleflame mod with titanium screws, drilled to 1.5 inch (being in Eastern Europe, this one was friggin' hard to get)
- cleaned the VOS gunk with Virtuoso Polish
Frankly, pretty good job, considering that I bought the guitar three weeks ago
I'd like to see photos of your R8! The mods sound very interessting! Welcome to the forum btw!
Welcome to MLP !!! How bout some
Ok, as you wish They are pretty low quality, taken with my trusty mobile phone, but they show several upgraded parts (bridge, locking system, tailpiece, tuners). Aesthetically, I don't quite like the Iced Tea color, I prefer Washed Cherry or Fadded Tobacco, but this one sounded by far the best of the four reissues I tried (and was also the lightest), so I guess I will manage somehow...
Definitely not prone to break. The man that makes them destroyed one for me before my very eyes last week. Took a lot of twisting and pulling.
Photos of my set in the next week or 2 I hope.
how to upgrade like that of stuff??
