One question? does the edges need to be that rounded? how does a 59 jackplate look like?
That jackplate was made for me by a "friend" It is as close to a real 59 as it gets !!!

Has the bad economy put a halt to LP upgrades ???
The corners of my Orville by Gibson jack plate had corners like that before it (sob..sniff..) cracked
I resorted to a metal one for a while ... The vintage repro ones I was getting just cracked one after the other !!!
BOBBO-I think down here in Custom and LC, there are fewer owners of Historics. They are not absent, but just not the same base as the first two or three Sub-Forums up above. Since many of us cannot lay out that kind of moola, we fool ourselves into thinking we can build one; some of us can, and some can't really build one. And, of course, the investment in good wood, hardware and electronics turns out to be a good start on the price of an Historic-if tools have to be bought, it can easily equal street price for one. Hi folks nice to meet you have a nice day sure your all great people. this is my first post and I need a knurled retaining ring for my I wil say 69 LP cause you wouldn't believe me if I told you oh yeah it's a standard. can someone help me out? is it 3/4? Thanks
It's probably 1/2 inch. That's the standard on all LPs, right?
