Congrats to you Pete, I'll say thanks in advance for full revue after you've had time to give it a good workout. I would expect it to sound like a Strat but I'm sure much easier to play. I've read a lot about these models but have never heard a specific factory mentioned, only that they are made in Japan. I hope you enjoy it very much which I suspect you will, so HNGD. :thumb::thumb:

Very nice one. I don't know what the Fender bridge pup is worth but I know the TS in neck is a winner ! So from the description I guess the pup selector is one of the know, a rotary one. Quite funny thing ;)

It's funny it looks like the child of a Telecaster and a Stratocaster :)

Congrats! I never saw one other than photo. That is a very cool guitar. Does the bridge pick up split? You are in for a fun time with that baby!

I tend to agree on the date Pete from what little info I can find. If it says "Crafted in Japan" rather than "Made in Japan", is it possible that Dyna Gakki or Tokai built this little jewel? :hmm:

Squier built the originals for these, between 2003 and 2007 or so. I have a nice sunburst 2004 model, made in Indonesia.

Very playable, very mod-able guitars. And yes, no tone control, who's place is taken by a selector switch. Giving a real variety of tones, and a very versatile guitar.

Hey Peter, just found this thread, great guitar! As you know, I have the Squier version of it and completely love mine.

If you need something to tinker with on it, here is a diagram to hotrod the tone selector. Makes a huge difference in the sounds coming out of it!

This is for the Squier version, but I assume the Fender is the same, just with better electronics.
