You can't open it?
Here's a couple of the shots
Thanks for these, I had the ad on my browser but navigated away for a minute when i get an email saying he deleted the post.. Got any more of these. I believe there was 5 pictures.
Me too, you know how it goes right.. Too good to be true and all that... But then again, not everyone that owns a Les Paul is nuts about them like we are... Might have just wanted it gone quickly... Im hoping anyway. I'll keep the thread updated with the latest. So far he has been paid via paypal and i am awaiting tracking info.. I also wanted the serial number. Hopefully I'll get that today. i believe the person was traveling for the holidays. That was the impression I got in the few emails we have exchanged.
Just FYI, anything you see on Craigslist that says anything about Paypal or shipping is a scam 99% of the time... Hope it isn't the case for you, but those are both HUGE red flags that you should run away from in the future.
Funny, I can still open the page. Anyway, there were another two more shots. Here ya go.
Ad didn't have that. Frankie, in his initial contact, cross country sent his paypal information ASKING for the owner to send an invoice. At a guess, to get the jump on others here.
I requested an invoice be sent. Money was not gifted or paid for as a service. So I'm not sure how I can get scammed with paypal protection.
Very nice, keep us updated, and post photos when you get her.
If I could just recommend, make sure you stay on top of him for the tracker... And make sure the weight is consistent with what you'd expect. Hope it works out.
Multiple requests for the serial number have gone unanswered. Contacted paypal. I'm covered.. Let's see what happens. Doesn't feel right. Seller isn't responding in a manner I would expect. Now it is holiday but still not sitting right.
The worst thing you can do in a transaction with me is not return an email. I don't believe in today's world that is acceptable. I just might pull the plug on this today. More to follow.
If it helps calm your nerves.. I did a similar deal this year. And I did mine by sending a postal money order.
Hope it works out for you FrankV
I'm out, called my bank AND opened a case in paypal. This is clearly a seller that is up to no good. No communications since right after the purchase yesterday and nothing all day today. It's funny, after countless emails requesting info and tracking numbers have gone unanswered he did find the time to email me saying "you opened a case"... No shit I did.. I'm not gonna put up with this non-sense.
Yesterday when I requested a paypal invoice I barely hit the send button and I had an invoice in my inbox. Since then this dude has ignored my emails and has been non-responsive.. I asked for the serial number 4 times.
I don't have the time or desire for any of this.. I'm calling this FRAUD.
My bank refunded my money and I closed the account. DONE....
EDIT: Intrestingly he has not responded to the paypal case either.. Caught him...
Acting quickly I was able to stop the money since it was sitting in "pending" status at the bank.
Yeah, that does sound suspicious. So I guess, as most things it was to good to be true...

sounds good, good thing you acted quickly.
I thought that when I first looked at the ad.. but, I gave it a shot figuring I would be covered either way in the end.. He was an un-verified paypal account. That was the straw that broke my back... When I saw that it was over and done with.
Some pople don't sit in front of their computers 24/7. I'm not saying the deal was or wasn't legit, I'm just sayin'
That sucks! I was waiting for your review on this, and was hoping you had gotten the deal of a lifetime.
