Who needs that nonsense when I already have two good ones and an extra $4.5K in my pocket!
On the contrary/ I think they are more affordable then most other multi amp/effects/direct recording options. But hey, that's just me. Your mileage might vary.
I would hardly call it nonsense.. But as they say in the car business.. There is a seat for ever butt.. You like your limits. I like my options..
I'm just glad I didn't have to sacrifice the family vacation to have 300 settings, only to end up using two. It's like cable TV, I get 400 channels and I only watch three.
Well certainly if you are in a situation where you would have to sacrifice a vacation for this then you might rethink the idea like you have.. Then again I could make an argument that the vacation is something that is completely gone when its done yet the equipment will be there for quite some time after the money is spent.
Regarding your comment of only using 2 settings. You can not and should not make comments like that because you do not own or have ever played what this equipment has to offer, therefore you don't know what settings or how many you might find to be beneficial to your performances. Just Sayin
I chose Scholz because, well you know, great sought after tone. I thought my take was close. But please, carry on blasting my tool
I wonder how long before they model the rockman sustainor?
This may become my new quote
So...completely understanding myself don't count?
Remember, as George Clinton once said. Free your mind and your ass will follow.
He was going for something a little more Cosmic (slop) than friggin' amps.
No, he told me. He was ACTUALLY talking about modeling vs tube amps!
Well, that's it. I'm set to agree with you guys. You know me better than me. I can't wait until these gadgets make music and creativity better. We'll see the greatest Renaissance in guitar music since, well, ever!
Much better Sounds great man
Hey, did your Xitone ship yet?
I didn't realize until know how that was gonna be interpreted by such a fine, mature audience including myself
Trust me, I am the last one that will ever tell someone what they NEED. Half the time I don't even know what I need.
All I'm saying is, don't knock it till you've tried it. You may discover that when you have all these tones at your disposal you maybe find uses for them. Me as someone who records, it's cool having the different amp models because I may use an amp I wouldn't normally use on a part to a song, just to capture a vibe. I will always have my go to's which would be Marshall based, but it is cool in a section of a song to be able to add a tweed type amp in, to create a vibe or a specific tone. But again, I play both sides of the fence. If I was playing live, I can pretty much guarantee that I would be using my one amp through my one cab like I always did live.
DUDE, we can get you some help if you REALLY want to BAST YOUR TOOL!!!
You're too young for such drastic measures, although if you blast your tool, you'll have less to measure!
And that is what all my playing is focused on. Look at it this way; I have two good amps, one I use for cleans the other the dirt. However, I forget that my Night Train has a wicked tube overdrive. I used to only use it for jamming, gigs and just brought my TT as a backup. But despite having it, I never use it, always going to the TT for my OD needs. So, there you go, even wth two great OD tube tones, I still only use one. And OD tube tone is my favourite!
