    Sounds simple, but have you changed the strings lately?

    when's the last time you had a pro setup?

    wood moves, changes in humidity, changes in temperature, etc.

    O.K.
    Do you have a tube amp???????
    have the amp checked out, weak tubes, tired tranny and or a solid state amp for that matter will kill your tone, take your amp in for a check up.
    Tone is affected by this, the set up on your guitar may affect how you play (which does affect what you hear which does affect how you play), but I have not seen it affect tone as such.
    let me know

    EXPs are dull strings. Any coated string will inhibit high end.

    Get better strings and you will be happier.

    yeah i didn't like very much the texture of the EXP's.. how it rubs against any pick and how it makes so much squeak noise... ima try the regular Phosphor Bronze D'Addario strings.. the EJ 17's.. it's cheaper too.. :D

    what do you guys think?

    any other strings you guys can suggest? :confused:

    although I don't have an acoustic, I'll only use Snake Oil strings on my electrics, and he does make acoustic stings, give them a try
