Thats a 2004 Fakai. Way too expensive !!! You can get a MIJ Tokai for $700 U.S.

Ok, wow. Glad I asked you guys before I contacted him. Which model Tokai can I get for $700? All the ones I’ve been seeing on EBay and Reverb have been at least $900.

Well you might have to be a little patient to get one for $700 but they come up, Chinese and Korean ones certainly aren't worth $700 U.S. Those particular guitars (Fakai's) were built for a Canadian distributor and i see them all the time in the locals, they never sell until they get into the $300's (CDN) I've never played one myself but i've heard they were hit and miss.

Keep your eye on the forums as they come up, gear prices seem to be going up but I can only guess you are in the U.S. ??

That's not a Fakai. It's a normal Korean made with nipple headstock. Not worth $700 though.

Pretty sure that is a Fakai. "MAKE IN KOREA" is the tipoff.

How does this happen? Was this deliberate? Only way I can think of this happening is if they use a drilling template and had the template the wrong way round.

Looks the part Fenderbendr, i'd say it's a bit pricey for a used 2008 myself but i'm pretty frugal.

Reminds me of the reverse flying Vs that Gibson put out a few years ago. Probably the result of a new guy putting the body in the wrong way before it got routed and Gibson just went with it. That's my theory anyway, I don't know how they could intentionally make something that ugly.

Actually, Duncans made it alive. Goto PAFs were pretty under average in that piece of wood

Hey everyone, I'm a newb here but diggin the forum man. I have an opportunity to grab this puppy for under 5 bills and from what I can tell it's MIJ from 2007? Any idea what the model would be or specs?
Any help would be appreciated as this is my first Tokai possibility. Thanks a tonne!
