This for me.
wish he did the id40 core vs the thr10(10c)
I have to go with the Yamaha in this demo, I had the Blackstar ID:60 head for a while, liked it but did not love it after the honeymoon wore off sold it with no regrets.
Nice job! I give you extra points for having a sweet Charvel.
Ah, thanks. Fits me like a glove right now. Love that thing.
Sorry, man! I did play the Core (ID:20) and the regular THR10. For me again it comes down to speaker size. The Core's bigger speakers just have more the sound and feel of a real amp in the room, but for my money the modeling is better on the THR, so if you're going to be playing with headphones or through a computer or recording it often, then that wins.
This is why I think a new THR range with larger (5" maybe?) speakers would own all.
There's a guy on here that is my area who rigged up speaker outputs on his thr10c so it could run through a cab. There was a thread on it awhile back. Very interesting stuff...
He did a very detailed write up, seems that someone handy with tools and a soldering iron could do the same.
Good point, to me the THR also shines at really low volume, I mean really low. Never had an amp that I could play at crazy low volumes, like when everyone is asleep, and it still sounds good. Great playing too!!
