That is one helluva lotta bang for the buck. I'd be all over it if I didn't already have an old RR Burny. Okay, two old RR Burnys. Go for it Mykkus!

It's the same as the second one to US, $120. For Europe, the first one is $10 cheaper than the first.

Actually, the equivalent of around £60 is not too bad for shipping to UK from Japan, assuming it's safe, fast and insured as he says.

Shipping from Japan to the USA is almost always $120.00. OTOH, they all use EMS, which gets the guitar from Tokyo to the US East Coast in 3 days:shock: . Every time.

Once I get some other things squared away, I think I'll be looking for a RW board Burny of some sort. Sorta fill out the 'LP Std' tone since I already have the Cherry burst (thankfully not clown burst) custom.

Not all of these have long tenons, especially a lot of Greco's. The higher end Edwards Customs are great guitars. I have had several of the Greco's Burny etc... I like the Navigators and the Edwards.

You're right - they definitely don't all have the tenon that runs the length (or almost the length) of the neck pup cavity. Some do -- the higher end Burnys and all the Greco 'Mint Collection' Lesters.

But all the set-neck 80's Burny LPs I've seen have at least the tenon that goes into the cavity (longer than a Gibby Standard), and makes plenty of wood-to-wood contact. They also have flawless fret-edge binding, beutiful inlay, VH-1 pickups (which flat-out rock), excellent electronics and a really nice 'C' carve neck -- a little chunkier than most of the other Japanese guitars. The Black Beauty Customs are all-mahogany, just like the VOS Gibsons, and the fretboards on most Super Grades are beautiful rosewood. 80's Burny Customs are usually (dyed) rosewood as well, although I do have one Burny Custom that has an ebony board, but I guess it must have been a very high-end model.

Navigators are far more expensive, and I don't see a difference between them and the high-end 80's Burnys and Grecos, personally. (Which you can score all day long for well under a grand.) MHO, YMMV, etc etc
