Thickness of Flying V?

    I was at a guitar shop that had a wildwood spec 67 Flying V and it was noticeably thinner than production line flying Vs. Did the thickness change at some point? My friend even has a non custom shop 67RI from like 2003 or so and his is the same thickness as production line flying vs.

    I read original 60's V's and Custom Shop reissues are slimmer than the "regular" USA V's (never had one of the former to compare, though).

    The construction changed a lot in the 70's, with less neck angle, the fingerboard raised higher off the body, volute, different headstock... The width probably changed around that time too, though I'm not sure.
