The orvilles seem to be going up in price over the last month or so, dunno if it's due to the earthquake and there not being too many around. When I started looking at YJ there used to be at least two pages come up on the search now it's only one. Used to sell in the 30-40K region now probably 40-50K although there's always the odd one that goes cheap, chingo got this for 30K which seemed reasonable

I was tempted to go for this Wine Red terada ObG, bit of damage to the headstock binding , went for 43K but was in the middle of the night for me.

Reckon that was a bargain as the wine red ones are sought after and other than the headstock damge looked in OK condition

One thing I have noticed is that just about every second Orville on YJ has some damage to the headstocks or a neck crack these days must have all been on wall hangers when the earthquake hit.

Has anybody noticed the prices of Jr's and Specials creeping up lately? Or am I just paying more attention to them these days?

Maybe on ebay but not on YJ. I've seen chingo's stuck up a few recently at inflated prices for some bargains he got on YJ. I'm tempted by this one at the moment if it stays cheap.

I got a yellow one recently and it's my best MIJ purchase so far, wish I'd got into Juniors years ago now, perfect guitars to play.

probably go for a white melody maker instead though.
it's all downhill from a 70s burny jnr though

Hadn't noticed the scratchplate :( sure you could stick in a couple of screws if needed :)

I saw the other but looks well overpriced at the moment, didn't think you spent over 30K slaphot?

Here is an Epiphone Lacquer series LP Custom that came with these double-whites (SD Pearly gates and believe it or not a really nice sounding Fender neck humbucker). Not sure about the double white look, is there a place to get gold polepieces to put in the P/Us?
