Anyone has any idea where this is made in?
its a beauty!!
is this mij?
thanks!! By the way do you guys think the price is worth it?
Just pulled the trigger an a RLG-75gr, so I thought I'd share it here since this this was my main source for research, much thanks to you all this thread has been very informative.
Looks like mine came from the same Japanese dealer as Thomas/Sweden's judging by some of the pictures.
I do have one Question though, I can't find out much about the FHM-2110 pickups. Am I correct to assume that the originals have been swapped out at some stage or could they possibly be original.
Yes, I think it should have been VH-4's originally.
Curve Top! European! Glamorous! Uh oh, Priapism!
I saw this you tube clip of someone demoing different pickups and thought maybe there might have been a few that came out with them.
Maybe this is my actual guitar and this is our friendly Japaneses dealer (see that Marshall in the background) who knows.
Here's a link to a gallery of Duff playing his black RLC. I don't think these have been posted before. My band uses this photographer and I just ran into this gallery while poking around on his page.
There's a bunch of other bands on there too FYI. I tried to link a pic but couldn't get it to work.
Any idea what pickups are in early-mid 90's Frehley Burnys? I got it for cheap from YJ, for a friend!
No one? Well, the obvious answer would be ''wait for a couple of days and see for yourself what is in there''! But I'm planning to ship it by SEA to keep the cost low (it is for a friend), so I'll have it in my hands in three months (?) from now!
The pickups rings are not original I guess, since the neck ring looks bigger than the others and the switch ring is cream! The bridge and middle pickups look like Dimarzios but also could be MIJ clones! So if anybody knows what are the stock pickups in these Burnys....
I would guess that the bridge and middle are not original, but I'm wrong about 50% of the time when I guess.
No, that's not true! Thanks man!
I had a early 90s it had 2 stickered vh1s and a Super Distortion clone also stickered think it was sh 1 maybe?
Thank you JDB, that was really helpful!
Whai is the first digit in the serial? The serial is in the neck cavity so it's probably before 1993 when they changed to the bridge cavity. We still don't know what the k stands for right?
Not that it looks like anything but id say 2 Thomas. 1992 RLG 75. I wouldnt pay too much attention to K.
No nibs so is it Fujigen?
Ok, It's been refretted according to Yasou and pickups were replaced with the Burny Jy-9.78-m3 pickups, same as in the RLG-55.
