So what's it been? Three years, almost four? I finally had my Frampton Duncan's installed yesterday! I should've A/Bd them, but I'm just too lazy and it's too bad. I'm picking her up today!

My tech was a bit perplexed with the wiring at first, even though I had the specs for him that I hadn't gotten directly from Gibson. Turns out, they're missing a piece: There's a return wire that runs from the pot to the switch, which isn't included in the diagram. They used normal length pickup wire to run to the pot, but it's not long enough to run back to the switch, so they just added another piece of wire.

    Can't wait to check-'em-out!

While I was looking for something in the thread, I noticed that the "Lying" video I had posted previously doesn't work anymore. So now without further ado, here's working version:

I just love the intro and break leads in this!

Awesome! I had forgotten all about those pickups. I'm too lazy to look back through this thread, but if I remember correctly, the specs on those pickups weren't anywhere close to the Gibson 57/57/500t pickups that come in a Frampton Custom. We'd love to hear a demo!

I've never measured the 57/57CP/500T, so I'd be speculating, but these measure: N = 7.4K, M = 7.6K and B = 8.4K. I tried them out at my tech's place, but he just uses a small practice amp, so I can't wait to hear them through one of my Marshalls!

Do you still have the originals in your's?

I still owe members Darrell V, northernguitarguy and Freddy G a demo of my Alex Lifeson "Inspired By" ES-355. I'm a terribly ridiculous procrastinator! Maybe once my wife and I move in the next month/month and a half and we get settled, I'll put something together?

Thanks for the post Framp and :cheers2:

Yes, @Donal is certainly much appreciated from my personal perspective. However, I'm not a fan of his middle pickup. :)

In terms of it's sound, or just middle pups in general?

Thanks for the past and :cheers2:

    From Frampton's FB page:

"Backstage in Winnipeg, Canada. The ‘64 335 is what I’m using on stage a lot these days. The Les Paul burst here was given to me in 2011 by #MikeMcGuire then head of Gibson Custom Shop. I had lost one just like this in the 2010 Nashville flood. #TomMurphy did a magnificent job with ageing this beauty. Thank you guys and of course #Gibsonguitars. Both of these guitars are so great to play and sound gorgeous."

One of my post FCA favorite albums for sure! Excellent playing/material. He won a Grammy for that album and it’s no wonder why.

I had a really long conversation with Tom Holmes some months back, and he told me that Frampton, Billy Gibbons, Gary Moore, helped Tom design, and voice is pickups back in 1992.

Tom originally use A4 Magnets, and Neck/Bridge were both wound to 7.7k.
In 92 he switched to A2, and changed to N = 7.4, and Bridge is 8.3k.

    Tom said that on Framptons aftermarket LP he uses with 3 pickups, uses the Holmes Neck H450 ( A2 x 7.4k ) Middle ( A4 H453 x 7.7k ) Bridge, H455 is 8.3k A2.

Tom will also wind an A4 H453 set if asked, as well as Slightly Hotter H450/H455, but he doesn't like to do that.
Gary Moores personal Sig LP also came from Gibson with Toms pups, and Tom said Gary was his biggest fan.

He thinks that it may either be from either the last tour he did with Humble Pie, or his first U.S. tour.
