While this isn't directly related to Peter Frampton, I'll post this anyway because it'll be of interest to those who follow this thread. I purchased the recently released Humble Pie Official Bootlegs CD. All of the shows on the album are from '72 to '74 so Peter obviously isn't on them. Like most of you, I can't wait for "new" material to be released by favorite bands from back in the day. I was most certainly excited when I saw this pop up on Amazon.
Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY THIS ALBUM! If you were expecting a newer version of Rockin' the Filmore, you'll be greatly disappointed. At best, the sound quality is awful. There are a number of times where the sound cuts out or parts of the song are missing. I'd expect this from an unofficial release, but this is one of Jerry Shirley's authorized albums. He must be getting hard up for money these days.
If you need to hear the album for yourself, PM me your address and I'll send you my copy no charge.
That's too bad. Would have been great to get some "new" stuff with Clem playing guitar. They could still rock with the best of them and Clem was quite the player in his own right.
Thanks for the post Framp and
Since the update, many of the links didn't map over, so pardon me whilst I go through the thread and re-post what I can:
