I dig orange amps. I've owned a few but none currently. I've had a rocker 30, mk 1 rockerverb 100, 75 OR 120, and an OR 15. I regret getting rid of the rocker 30 and OR 15. Hope to get a rocker 30 soon. I do have a few matamps tho.

My mate has a '72(?) Matamp OR100 just like this one. Sounds amazing for true classic rock tone.

I have an OR15, Micro Terror, Dark Terror and CR60. All great amps. The CR60 is the most versatile though.

    Orange color, or Orange brand?

I have more orange color, than brand.

I just bought this the other day from Ebay. It's my first Orange, and it sounds really good!

I walked into the local L&M here today looking to check out a Micro Dark and a Traynor cab. I left with a Rocker 15.

They had another FSR Mocha Mustang like the one I just got there, and that's what I plugged in...I had no choice. This thing's a f'n boss.

I have owned my fair share, enjoyed all - Dark Terror, Jim Root Terror (baby Rockerverb), Rockerverb 50MKII, TH30, Rockerverb 100MKIII, and a Dual Terror. None of them were bad, but the two I kept were the Rockerverb 100MKIII and the Dual Terror.

The Terror series are great in general, and they were literally the gateway drug that got me into Orange. It's a lot easier to drop $350-$500 on a used Terror when you have no experience with a brand. I just missed having a second channel.

The TH30 was too fuzzy for me on the gain channel, but the clean was one of the most beautiful cleans I have ever heard, Fenders and all.

The Rockerverb MKIII is where it's at for me - huge crunch with all the gain you could want, and a beautiful clean channel. There is nothing wrong with the MKII, but I think the improvements of the MKIII series are well worth the extra cost.

The Dual Terror has a similar beefy crunch and can pull off a nice clean as well in 30 watt mode. Actually, in an A/B comparison, it pulls off a similar distortion tone to the Rockerverb.

If you need the genuine Rockerverb tone on a budget and don't need clean sounds, get the Jim Root Terror. It suffers from the Slipknot association, but it sounds huge. I believe most would neverbe able to tell this is a 15 watt EL84 amp.

Pretty amazing amp, don't cha think? There is one in my future in the intermediate future. I found that if you angle it upwards it's even more amazing. ENJOY

I put it on a tilt-back stand before I went to bed last night actually, though I haven't yet used it on that. I think it should definitely project into the room a lot better that way. I look forward to finding out.

In truth I went in there aware of these, but never expected to run across one, nor to spend this much money for awhile. OR15s and PPC112s are all I've seen around so far at this location besides Micro's. Not only did they have it, but it was on sale for $799 CAD (about $635 USD), regular $1099 CAD/$875 USD.
FX loop, foot-switchable channels, tubes, Orange construction, and power switching down to the point I can dime it without bothering someone watching TV in the next room? At that price? Weighing in at under 30 lbs according to spec? This is insanity.

Could not agree with you more. That IS a STEAL of a price. Perhaps they're trying to reduce inventory before Jan 1.

ENJOY that Beastie in good health

More power? I kinda thought I could use my 50w Fryette to expand the 20w OR15:

I run the PS2 into 2 1x12 cabs with greenbacks. I can add depth, chime and even more volume, very transparently and get more ORANGE greatness.

I luv my TT for everything overdriven. My gain knob never falls below noon.
The clean tone is not so pleasing. Compared to my clean VOX, there is no contest. This is one reason I use a two head rig (the other being always having a backup, ready to go).
If I could get both of these amps in one head, I’d have something to save my shekels for. Who LOVES their Orange clean tone? Does outstanding Orange clean tone exist?
