Rock and roll!
Gman has some vids. Nice meeting you G.
So much for the JTM 45 then huh
A dumble with a kt66 power section would f*cking RIP
My jaw is still on the floor after playing that thing. Really, it's ridiculous.
So I take it that was the star of the show?
There were a lot of very nice amps, as well as guitars. Bsmiley has a beautiful original 56 special that I played, that was pretty sweet. As far as amps go, Don's Dumble was my fave. I cant even describe it. Clear, even the distortion, its perfect.
Which Ceriatone model was it?
I think its the HRM. It's in the first pic in the Ceriatone thread.
Merf...jah, I have to build one.
I have the iron, just have to do it.
Only thing that holds me back is I don't need 100 watts of anything.
But tone....yes, I can handle that!
Glad you all had a good time.
First off - had a great time - thanks for putting it together, I am hoping the low turnout doesn't stop another one from happening!
It was great meeting everyone..
The band rocked it (I really need to learn some blues stuff, I know zero and I guess it's time!).
One the biggest takeaways for me, is my son enjoyed it, and with him being a new guitarist - he saw how much fun it can be. That is the payoff for the hard work.
I posted some pics up from the meet, and they can be viewed here:
MLP New England Meet
Great pics! Looks like a real good time...sigh.
Looks like it was a real good time, so sorry I had to miss out on this one.
(But I did drown my sorrows by buying a brand new Strat!)
Hope everyone had a great day!!
Wow!!!! What a blast. When I waked into the amp room and saw that Dumble clone, my jaw also hit the floor. it radiated sheer beauty, there was so much nice stuff there.. It was great meeting everyone... can't wait for the next one. The highlight for me was I had my first jam ever with my son... What a great time...
Heres me, my son and Gman..... was AWESOME!
Thanks for taking the great pics Bsmiley. What a beautiful guitar that Special is! What I found really cool were the pots, and the taper. Why cant someone replicate that today? We can put a space shuttle into orbit and land it safely 99 out of 100 times, but we cant make a guitar pot that works? Beautiful guitar, and plays like a dream. I thought the new setup on mine felt good, but that thing, whoa! The srings on it are 10's and it felt like they are 8's.
BlakeM, thanks for posting the vid! Must be great to jam with your son! I'm glad we got to play at least a couple of songs with the full band together. Also glad you got to check out those pickups.
As far as the turnout goes, it was really not too bad. It surely would have been better with more as far as gear oogleing goes, but this way everyone got to jam, and that was cool.
Moldymealworm can really play!! He freakin tore it up man! And that Fargin Miniplex kicks ass! Thamks for bringing the Cape Cod Beer as well.
It was a real pleasure to meet Don (Hipofutura) what a super nice guy, and man his home brew amps are all really really sweet...I played every one of them.
Thanks for putting this together! I had a lot of fun. The band was great too!
Yeah, but how was the food?
There was plenty of tasty stuff!
I NEED to get the recipe for the Jambalaya and that pineapple dessert!
Man, I'm tired. Brattleboro to Cape Cod is NOT a fun ride. That dumble was something else and bsmiley's LP special was great. Happy Easter everyone
I'm totally pissed that I missed it.. I was suppose to be done Thursday night. The place I was working at decided to drag their ass's until Friday night!!!
Good times indeed. I really enjoyed meeting everyone and playing through some great gear. Thanks for putting this one together, looking forward to more in the future.
I only got a few videos that are uploading to youtube now. Here's the first one with Rockinghorse on the Dumble.
