Then There is this one..
moar Axe FX (JVM410)
That was pretty damn excellent sounding.
Here's a simple 12 bar blues I did demonstrating a really cool Dual Reverb preset inside AXE FX. This is an ERNIE BALL Music Man JP6 which is not suppose to be a blues style guitar. I think it does a pretty convincing job myself.
I don't think my Jem is thought of a "blues guitar", but I make it work.
I'd post the video, but I used my old TH30 to record it, and this is the Axe thread.
The beauty of AXE EDIT and OPTIONS...
For those that think there are limits to what a AXE FX can do.. Watch this. Then realize there is not a tone created that can't be duplicated by AXE
Just be aware that this version of AXE Firmware is 9 generations old.
Want help with a live patch...
I bought $2,000 worth of hardwood flooring yesterday for a sunroom remodeling project. When I was paying for it, all I could think about was I could be buying an Axe Fx with this same money. Don't think the wife would have been too happy about that.
Yeah, I hear that my friend.. One day..
Long after the the hardwood flooring is rotting away, you could still be enjoying an Axe FX. My wife is learning to live with my idiosyncrasies, but the Axe II turned out to be a sound investment. It was a gamble at the time of purchase (and for most of the year after), but the last year has been leaps and bounds in software and firmware development. The next amp I buy will be Fractal, but I'm not sure I'll ever need to buy another amp.
Just a KILLER Rig.. I am not kidding... AXE FX is it for me.. Bring on the next version...
I was listening to the "No Guitar Is Safe" podcast. Episode 56 interviews Phil Collen from Def Leppard. Phil mentions several times about using the Axe Fx for their shows.
BTW, really interesting interview if you're from the 80s generation. It's basically about the 30th anniversary of Hysteria. They break down a lot of the songs and give you the back story on them. Really cool. Pour Some Sugar on Me almost didn't make it on the album.
Improved power amp modeling.
Disabled Amp block active Presence control if power amp modeling is bypassed because too many customers not realizing the feature exists.
Fixed Delay block incorrect output level if Bypass Mode set to “Mute FX Out”.
Fixed unable to attach modifiers in Looper block.
For those who aren't aware, there is also a new version of fractal bot, which i found out when I went to load the above firmware.
Yep. I saw that too... Its great how all the Fractal programs auto update..
I can't even imagine how complicated it must be to design all this amazing stuff.
Well, it's that time again... Thanks for another amazing year!!!
Here's a little holiday gift for you: it's Cab Pack 2, the Mad Oak Sessions, now FREE for all. Our second cab pack session included some great IRs of excellent speakers—a few of which are now favorite factory cabs! Here, you'll find all of the individual mics and lots of new material. Since we gave you Cab Pack 1 previously, here are both download links in one place. Oh, and did I mention that Ultra/Standard format files are included as well? Fun for ALL
It should go without saying that you can share or record these IRs, but don't re-sell them. By downloading, you agree to the above terms.
Cheers and warmest regards on this midwinter's eve!
The Fractal Audio "Family"
PS: Because I suspect this thread will catch the attention of many a new owner of a Fractal Audio Systems product, I've appended this link to the amazing FREE "Larry Mitchell" Cab and preset pack—another great set to add to your Axe-Fx or AX8! Here it is:
