    Thank you!

Yep, that was the neck. The 594 is probably my favorite guitar at this point. I want to get a singlecut, too.

I was worried about the neck being too big (not a fan of 50's LP necks), but it's surprisingly comfortable for me. If you get a chance to play one, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I do think I would like the neck. I am a fan of slightly chunkier necks.

Things are looking up, I'm keeping my Axe. Just unboxed everything and set it up again yesterday. It's been months! Now to relearn this thing. And the guitar lol.

So it appears that a new Firmware is in the works. Cliff gave a little glimpse on what's to look forward to.
Cliff stated he is waiting on delivery of a Darkglass Microtubes B7K Bass Preamp pedal, and an Electro Harmonix Deluxe Memory man Pedal to model. Wonder what other goodies he has up his sleeve?

I seen someone posted this video in the Fractal site asking for Doom style amps, it seems like they lack in that area. If Axe Fx could do this then I'd buy one next month.

"a few weeks he had homemade tones that shattered whatever farts my 6505 decided to blow out of its cabinet"

Thanks for the article but that's really not sound I'm looking for, you can see it's much different from the video I've posted. There's a 1000 Axe FX videos but I haven't come across any that can show that off yet.

Disclaimer: Please do not take any offense to what I am about to say.
I realize it's different strokes for different folks. And I do not intend to slam or take digs and tones people like, we all have our different tastes.

But is that really considered a guitar tone? That sounds like a severely drop tuned guitar, just feeding back. I guess I will have to do a little more exploring to get a better idea of what makes up a doom setup. Obviously the feedback portion of it would work the same as with any amp, it's gonna need the volume, but the saturation and gain, I have to believe the axe can do it. I have personally never tried going for that sort of tone, but now you may have just given me a mission.

Give me some ideas of types of amps and cabs commonly used for doom rigs. Obviously I know a fuzz pedal is a must, lol but I think I might want to attempt this challenge.

No offense taken,I know it's not for everyone. That style or tone isn't my favorite but I do like high gain drone, sludge, and stoner rock. The Sunn Model T is common along with old Oranges and Marshalls. A lot of guys even use old solid state Sunn Betas and Peavey. As far as cabs go, it's all over the place. Marshall, Orange, Hiwatt, Emperor, Fender, Peavey.. some guys will even play their guitar amps through 15" bass cabs.

This site has the coolest rigs depending if you're into tubes or not. http://www.instagram.com/rigsofdoom/

This is a good resource (if you haven't already checked it out). Check out Yeks Guide to the Fractal Audio Amp Models.
