I am Saturday only as I am working tomorrow night.
In light of the recent sad news, I think you guys should do it. I would have loved to help you. Maybe next year instead.
The hordes are gathering...
For a second there I thought you had said that the whores were gathering. Either one would be appropriate
Had such a great time tonight. Unfortunately having to leave early to catch a taxi home.
I gotta say, you guys make great company. Everyone played really nicely and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to you play and talking to you.
Cannot wait until next year! Thanks so much guys.
Home again. 2:10 as opposed to 4:10 going.
You guys getting any sleep?
Well the weekend is over. Everyone else has gone. Great weekend with great people and incredibly good players. Guitar players who leave the ego at home. Whatever next?
Thanks to all the people with a hand in the organising particularly Phil and family and the Crown staff who seem happy to work around myriad guitar cases and guitarists.
Got to know people a bit better this year a d just sorry I didn't get to chat to everyone last night.
Sorry those were journey duration times.
All the gear is now stowed,so a moment to say thanks to Phil, Sylvia, Lauren and Simon, for the hospitality.
Thanks to Toby, Fuzzy for the quality rock solid rhythm stuff. Thanks to Liam for the PA, and gear and taking the time to set each of us as we stepped up. Alsofor putting up with my ring on the right hand lil finger ineptly whacking the piezo bridge on my acoustic. Noted.
Thanks to who ever it was that let me use their amp, so many wires.
Lastly thanks for the good company of modest and genuine friends and to any one I have nt mentioned by name that I should have.
Those of you that did nt make it, you missed a good one.
Nims, you'll be pleased to know following your advice (and the hype supporting it on the forum lately) I've bought a Faber ABRN conversion kit for my Les Paul. Eager to see and hear the results.
Nice to see you again Geddy. Sorry you didn't get another go at the end, Fuzzy was pretty much out for the count come 11.30. He did a bang up job despite his being ill though. Your Supreme sounds as cool as it looks.
Thanks. You too.
That's the way it goes. Its no biggie. I t was s great evening.
And I forgot to mention Toby and Fuzzy who just get on with it. And , as you say, whilst still poorly. Here's to next year!
Can't wait to see the pics
That was a bloody good weekend. A nice bottle of sauvignon blanc after the drive back has rendered me temporarily incapable of expounding upon that right now, but yeah... It was bloody good!
All credit to all those who organised and/or took part in this years event and thanks to all who put up with the attentions of my dog Muddles (that includes you Mr. Piles, even though your tolerance wore thin very quickly at times )
Was great to play with you Geddy... I know I wasn't 100% with the song, but if you want to do the same next year I'll play it every day until I can play it in my sleep
That was part of the beauty of the event: you fvck up, a lot of people don't notice... The ones that do don't care
I have to learn to be less self conscious and treat music more like a conversation: Don't worry about whether I'm technically correct as long as people know what I'm trying to say
Muddles is a lovely affectionate dog but I'm not a fan of dogs who can suddenly jump up at you, having been bitten by two dogs when I was younger, with tetanus jabs the result, both times.
I second your vote of thanks to all who organised the meet.
It was all really good and you and Geddy were RAWK!
Whether it will sound any different I cannot say but it will look 100% nicer..
Best year yet as far as I was concerned.
Everyone played to their audience and what's what held the punters there right up to the final number where they actually shouted out for more.
That coupled with the fact you could actually hear yourself think without having to go outside, or shout.
