It is a truly fantastic player. I'm definitely conflicted about selling it...

WTB: 'beater' vintage Tokai LS80, finish damage, repaired headstocks, missing parts etc are no problem as intend to do a full vintage correct refin, but a chunky neck and right about 9lbs is a must. Please let me know what you have

Price Drop! Let's try $1,050 for a forum member, plus actual shipping. I'll also include a plush Gibson gig bag (not great shape, but seems functional).

    For Sale 1982 Greco EG 59 -45
Guitar is in really nice shape- Frets were dressed before I bought this less than one year ago. no real playing time on it since. Action is the best I have ever played on any Les Pauls including all Gibsons I have owned. Pickups are not original. It is a long tenon. Have Older HSC for it.... missing it's handle. Pictures really dont do this guitar justice. I bought it because I thought I could gig it, but it was too nice and too heavy to gig...LOL 10+ lbs. See pics. $850 to your door in the US, insured. s-l1600 (63).jpg s-l1600 (64).jpg s-l1600 (65).jpg s-l1600 (66).jpg

Nice guitar. Is it lacquer or poly?

Is that a relic job, or natural wear? I've never seen wear around the switch cavity like that,

To my knowledge (and someone can jump in and correct me) these Edwards are done with a lacquer top coat but color is not nitro. Regardless, finish on this is THIN.

These Jimmy Page models are reliced to resemble Page's number one. The wear around the switch cavity would happen to a guitar slung real low and belt buckle wear. At least that's what I think they were going for.

Shit, I like that greco. Is it like a burnt orange?

That JP Edwards is pretty cool to.

Almost tempted to sell my SG.

In the EG 59-45, what does the 45 refer to? I tried looking thru the FAQ & I haven't seen the answer yet?

It was the model number for the EG59 style. They went from EG59-45 to EG59-100. There was an EG58-120 and then EG60-150 and EG60-180. The model number also corresponds to the list price in thousands of yen, so that the entry-level 45 was 45,000 yen list.

Yup the 45 was a model designation. WHat you get with the 45 is a 3 piece top instead of a plain 2 piece or flamed 2 piece etc.... the specs are the same.

It's def an orange tint... And pictures dont do it justice. When I bought it, I had plans of redoing the top to a Goldtop... but when I received it, it was just too pretty to cover it... 3 pieces and all.

Just curious - did you buy that Greco from a guy in the LA area or are you the same person? I remember when it was on craigslist.

I bought this back in November, with the thought of redoing the top as a gold top, since it was a 3 piece maple top. When I got it home, it was much nicer in person then the pictures do it justice, so I never painted it. I Gigged it once, played great sounded great. Too nice to gig with. SO I recently bought an Oreville also made in the same factory..... it was not as nice, plays almost as good, and I am gigging with that one. SO this one is expendable.
