I'm afraid I'd get too fascinated with them. I already have too many distractions. :laugh2:

Don't get a hell of a lot done as it is.

Seriously though Frank if you get the chance to try one you should give it a go.
It's a completely new sensation as unlike 3D movies you are actually in the set, so say like in Jurassic Park when the dinosaurs run past the people in a herd you are actually standing on the grass with them surrounded by savanna and the odd tree here and there , and if say there was a flower in front of you, as you bend down it gets closer showing more detail as it would in reality.
I'm not one for zombies etc but standing out in space with the earth in front of you and if you turn round the moon and stars behind you it's just like experiencing a real space walk tethered to the space shuttle.
See ya later, gotta hit the hay...

The lunar landing does sound cool. I'll wait for my son-in-law to get one. :naughty:

There's a hack on youtube where a guy makes a set of blinder-type-glasses-headset-thingee that allows using a smartphone for 3D viewing. Just slides in from the side. Maybe I can find it. :hmm:

    Thanks, Darrell! I hope so.
I know I have no monopoly on trouble and woe, that's for damn sure, but I welcome your good vibes with gratitude.
Right back at you, buddy. :)

Blessed be, Phil! Thanks for reminding me of what is easy to forget amid the sturm und drang... I am lucky that my mom is still alive and that I can see her and talk with her in real time every day, AND she still more-or-less knows who I am.

Fingers crossed and good vibes sent, buddy. I am glad to hear that Amy is still fighting the good fight and seems to be WINNING, too!
Re: the Casino, duly noted. I need another guitar like a forehead colostomy, but I do love P90s.

I actually have a strat-o-various (neologism copyright Scott Beckwith) with a reverse shim.
A luthier I used to use, Jay Somethingorother, who screwed all the parts together for me, said crappy neck/body fit was always a risk when those 2 primary parts are made by different companies, even if those 2 companies are down the street from each other and are both manned by Warmouth refugees. (He usually works on the road for Aerosmith, so he does have some skillz and I am prone to believe him.)

If you are going to apply for SSDI, two words that worked for me:
    LAWYER UP.
    Not kidding.
An elderly friend gave me that advice a few years ago when I applied, and it worked.
Uncle Sam WILL bone you in the haunches just for kicks if you don't.

Meh, I listen better when the topic's a little deeper.

Thankfully, my gal talks better on those matters, too.

It's my understanding that the initial application is almost always rejected, and that an appeal is required.

This means that you should have some saving to tide you over 18 months or so, and a good lawyer working on contingency.

Son's mom did this, and a couple of acquaintances as well.

Yeah, I think you'd really enjoy the Apollo 11 mission Frank.
Here's a trailer although you can't get that total wrap around 3D experience. I liked the moon landing at around 14 mins into the vid as you can take control of the lunar lander .

Ah, Sir Ringo Starr you mean?...:laugh2:

The only drummer I know that went from mediocre to genius and back to mediocre all in the space of a few years...
