Another pic of my little bass family.
Bought another LTD Bass, this time a B-55. I always wanted a P-J bass, but for some weird reason I am more comfortable on a 5-string. 5-string PJs seem to be rare.

I just swapped the stock pups for some SD Quarter Pounds - holy crap  those are the drunken, loud and roudy brother of a P-Bass pickup :dude:

Amazed at the build quality that LTD puts out for 300 bucks though :yesway:

And I solved the buzzing problem on the viola by stuffing some foam under the tailpiece :yesway:

I'm riding the low notes on this Warwick German Pro Series FNA Jazzman. It's nice. Wenge fingerboard, Ovangkol neck, ash body with a figured maple top. The frets are bell brass. It has active/passive electronics with a 3 band EQ which can be defeated by pulling up on the volume knob (which I DO have, lol - it just needed to be tightened). The bridge pickup can be series/parallel/split. The bridge can be adjusted for string height and string spacing. It also adjusts for overall height and angle (forward/backward). The nut is able to be adjusted up or down in three spots to fine tune the action. It's really an innovative and toneful instrument!!

I've had this bass for almost a year now, bought once at a yard sale for 40 bucks! I always wanted a bass to record with because up until that point (since our band doesn't have a bass player) I played guitar with a pedal to drop it one octave (I'm mainly a guitar player). It is an amazing Instrument for the price and gives me a very useable sound, it's just pretty boring all in black. I have time off work and my girlfriend was ready to help so I started painting this thing. First blue with a bit of purple. Silver pen to add some "stars". I tried to make a rimburst in red after that (+ some clear). It's nowhere near perfect but I love it! Has very personal touch. Thinking about doing the same to a guitar soon, for gigs and stuff.

For some reason this made me think of "The Mighty Boosh" - love it! This is officially the best looking LTD in history.

I created a new media album called The Lowdown, in case people want to upload their bass photos directly.

Started it off with a random shot of my current #1 4 string, an '83 G&L L2000 with mahogany body, and nitro finish...plus it's upside down.
