I thought it would be fun to read about peoples' avatar Les Pauls (mudface actually inspired me)

Mine is a 1990 Standard. One of the best, if not THE best LP I've ever played.

2011 r8 7.5 lbs. Has a very chunky neck. My favorite lp to play.

Edit: I changed my avatar pic this one is a 2014 r8 7.9 lbs all stock also a dream to play. Inverness green. One of 27 made I believe.

Mine is my 2013 Caramelburst Traditional. It's pretty much my definition of what I think of when I think Les Paul. EDIT: Since others listed mod's, I should mention I put the Classics from this into a Epi Flying V and replaced them with Sheptone's. Also aged hardware from Creamtone to match with the aged nickle pickup covers.

My Traditional Pro has some useful modern features, and therefore gets played a lot, but being "Traditional" the burst is No. 1 in my heart and also gets its share of play time.

My avatar is my '71 Les Paul Deluxe that has a neck break, was routed for full size humbuckers and came with "vintage" Dirty Fingers in it.

I have sold a few other LP's whilst keeping this one, because it just is a great guitar. Even despite the pickups that are possibly as far removed from "vintage LP tone" as possible..

Great thread idea Cherry! I was there for that so I know where you got the idea. See folks, I knew him when!

    LOL!!

I've changed mine since no one seemed to get the pun. It wasn't as cool as Dot's but hey!

This was it for a while. 1982 Standard 11 lb LTD Edition.
The caption read 'Proof that Gibson's rock!'
Went nowhere, so i took it down and now heeere's Johnny!:thumb:

EDIT: Gave into peer pressure in this thread (cough, cough, Mudface...)
Now I have Tiffany and Lester!

Mine is a 1987 "Prehistoric" 59 reissue, being played by my then two-year-old son, Jackson, while we were watching video footage of the Allmans at the Fillmore.

The guitar is long gone, and of course I regret selling it. Hopefully its current owner is happy; it was a great instrument.

Mine is my '82 30th anniversary GT. I still have it but have a kind of love/hate relationship with it. It's all original except for some work on the bridge. I used it in my avatar because it was the only 'real' LP I had when I joined the forum. It's also the only picture I was ever able to get small enough to use as an avatar since that time.

No Les Paul. But I'll post. This thread actually made me $10 just now.

My Avatar is made up of a button/pin that I kept on my motorcycle jacket for years:

    upload_2017-10-5_9-50-35.png

The background is my @Alligatorbling fuzz pedal (work of art):

The cat lives inside the fuzz box, next to 'Bling's signature. Every Bling-box comes with a secret cat, who helps add magic to your tone.

I know you're saying.. "cool story, but how'd you make $10?"

I went to dig out that jacket that I can no longer squeeze into. No pin. So I dug through the pockets. Found a receipt for scuba gear from 1996, and a $10 bill that I kept for emergency gas money!

20170128_202648-1.jpg 20170707_230415.jpg My #1 by far!! It's a 2014 Les Paul Standard Plus with Slash Pups and soon to be rewired 50's Style with a new harness. Plays and sounds amazing, don't understand how the action is so low on this thing! Can you tell I love it?? Haha

The only Les Paul in my avatar is Les Paul himself. I am sitting across the table from him as he autographs a photo for me. A great night.

You are a man with nerves of steel :yesway:

... in my mind, seeing that pic i can't help but imagine a scenario where your significant other calls out "Here, kitty kitty kitty - food's ready" right after this pic was taken...
